Digital Tools : YouCut

How are you feeling today? I hope everything is fine and you stay strong and powerful as always okey? On this lovely day, I would like to share with you my method of teaching children aged 5-6 years old.
I teach Al-Barqy subject, which is Al-Quran-based curriculum.
While exploring various ways and techniques of teaching, I found this incredibly smart method which enable children to catch on new knowledge faster and further expand their capabilities to think on their own.
It is by using CREATIVE VIDEO.
I use YouCut app which is easy to handle and actually makes my task a lot easier as I need to teach my students everyday and every time I have to be creative in my way of teaching as to not make them felt bored during my class. I actually tried countless modus operandi during my class. For instance, I created many games which required existed materials like flashcards, real ingredients like apple and so on. As you may already imagined, all of them requires great effort, time and money.
By using YouCut app, I can insert audio and effects like snow falling from the sky as to attract students' attention to look at the video. They also love the background that accompany Arabic sentence in the lesson as it is colorful and easy on eyes. By implementing this, I can also strengthen their knowledge on colors as well.
Moreover, as they were always being taught by using flashcards which is plain and dull, it is new and refreshing for them to learn by using video with effects like below as it is fun to look at and they can also imagine the scene of snow falling from the sky and they were at the scene. This feature will increase their happiness level and makes them even more excited to learn the new topic. It also triggers their competitive spirit when teacher ask them to read the word that appears on the screen one-by-one. It is crucial to have competitive spirit from the young age as to make them soon be a person with a quality of a leader that does not crumble under any pressure or stress and always stand up fearfully after being pushed to the ground.
Biggest disadvantage of using this app is that it can only be used for free in mobile phone, which means that I need to create the video by using mobile phone solely with much smaller screen ratio and with a certain limit imposed. Thus, I can't be as creative as I can be if I can use the app in computer for free as well. In addition, my already not-so-good eyes also felt strained while editing the video by using mobile phone as I need to stare at the phone screen for a long time to create the video with the best quality.
Furthermore, the app offers limited elements for editing video as I can't add any animation in it, for instance zooming in and out and also movement like objects flying in and so on. Thus, I can't create the most unique video I ever do, unless by using another app as well to add the elements that's mentioned above.
