Digital Tools ; Prezi

Allah knows and He always has your back.

Now, I want to share another amazing method to teach children effectively and efficiently. I teach Al-Barqy subject, which is Al-Quran-based curriculum.

It is by using Prezi

By using this significant tool, I can insert information in form of images and words to add more variety in my lesson and attract students' attention to look at the slide.

As I love nature and colorful images so much, I implement the elements in my teaching materials, which is Prezi  in this case. By implementing elements that I love, it also enhances my excitement to teach students at my foremost energy and spirit.

The tool surprisingly is easy to utilize and very exciting to work with as I can add animation which serve to zoom in and zoom out the slide. I find myself so engrossed in exploring it that I don't realize the time flying so fast. Moreover, I can also change the background in the template to my liking, as in this template I change it to a modern and chic background that easily capture our eyes.

Students love the Arabic sentence with nature and colorful background much more compared to plain and boring background, as evidenced in the video below. They seem to be more attentive and focus when the colorful background appear on the screen. As you may see, they does not move even an inch ever since they look at the slide on the screen. Since it is a new method of teaching which they don't accustomed to, it is much more effortless to make them sit down properly and concentrate as they were curious as to what I will teach on that day. 

In addition, their competitive side came to life when I said that I will choose student with the best manner to say the Arabic sentence and once I choose them to answer and they got the recognition, their confidence arose. Hence making them a much better and confident person than before.

Vital downside or flaw of using Prezi is that, like Kahoot! it needs to have strong internet connection to function efficiently, in which to let all the images load fully, I will need to wait for a half a minute depending on the internet connection strength. Thankfully, I can let it to load fully if I set up the tool early, which literally means that I need to be super early and fast to connect the internet to the computer and enter the Chrome and copy and paste the link onto the tab and let it load. If I have another urgent task at that particular moment, it is highly likely that the process will get disturbed and the class lesson will not flow as smoothly on that day. Resulting to failure to fully deliver meaningful information to students.
